HD200 Bailey Bridge

Steel Bailey Bridge Modular steel bridge · Factory-direct from China
HD200 Bailey Bridge — Evercross modular steel bridge

The HD200 Bailey bridge is our flagship panel bridge: a heavier-duty evolution of the classic Bailey system, engineered for permanent and semi-permanent crossings where standard panels run out of capacity. Deeper panels, higher load classes, longer spans — assembled from the same container-shipped, crane-free erection philosophy.

Why HD200 instead of a standard Bailey panel

Parameter HD200 Standard Bailey / Compact 200
Panel depth 2.14 m (deeper truss) 1.45 m
Typical single span 30 – 60 m 15 – 30 m
Load capacity HS25 / Class 75 and mining axles HS20 / Class 60
Reinforcement Single, double and triple chord options Single / double
Deck systems Steel deck, timber-composite, asphalt-ready Steel / timber
Corrosion protection Hot-dip galvanised to ISO 1461 Hot-dip galvanised

Where HD200 earns its price

  • Permanent public roads. Deeper truss and stiffer deck keep deflection and driver comfort within road-authority limits for decades, not months.
  • Mining haul roads. Re-analysed for your actual axle spacing and gross vehicle weight — not a catalogue class.
  • Longer spans without piers. Where a standard Bailey would need an intermediate pier, HD200 crosses clear.
  • Rapid redeployment. Bolted panel joints demount cleanly for temporary works that move between sites.

Delivery and erection

HD200 panels, transoms, stringers and decking pack into standard 40 ft containers and are trial-assembled at our Zhenjiang factory before shipment. Erection is by cantilever launch with a nose and rollers — no crane on the far bank, no work in the water. A typical 40 m crossing is erected in 5–10 days by a 25-person crew.

Documentation shipped with the bridge

Mill certificates, WPS/WPQR weld records, galvanising thickness reports, trial assembly report and the project-specific design check (AASHTO or BS 5400 load cases). Third-party inspection can be witnessed at the factory.

Frequently asked

What span lengths can this system cover?

Standard panel configurations cover 6 m to 45 m; multi-panel and D-type arrangements extend the range to 91 m in a single span. Tell us the clear span and load class and we return the panel quantity and pier requirement.

How is it shipped and how long does delivery take?

Panels, transoms and decking pack into standard 40 ft containers — roughly 30–45 m of bridge per container depending on configuration. Production is typically 20–35 days after drawing approval, plus sea freight to your port.

Can it be installed without heavy lifting equipment?

Yes. Panels are launched by cantilever with a nose and rollers, then jacked down. A 20–30 person crew with hand tools and one small crane for unloading can complete a typical 30 m crossing in 3–7 days.

Which standards do you fabricate to?

Design and fabrication follow AASHTO / BS 5400 load cases with hot-dip galvanising to ISO 1461. Mill certificates, weld procedures and a trial assembly report are issued with every shipment.
